Installed at the NTC Yard, this Onslow Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Solar Project features a 78.43 kW grid-connected system controlled by a Distributed Energy Resource Management (DERM) with 30 kWh battery storage.

This advanced solar control system links the installed setup to provide virtual power network functionality, monitored and managed by Horizon Power, the retail network operator. The DERM system enables the network operator to regulate the power flow for each battery and inverter connected to the grid.

Effective distributed energy management contributes to grid stability for small power networks and microgrids.
