This installation is part of the Onslow Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Solar project, featuring a 99.85 kW grid-connected system with an integrated 57.6 kWh battery storage capacity.
The system will utilise an advanced solar gate control system, enabling virtual power network functionality. Monitoring and control will be managed by the retail network operator, Horizon Power. The Distributed Energy Resource Management (DERM) system empowers the network operator to oversee and regulate power flow for each individual battery and inverter connected to the grid.
This distributed energy management approach enhances grid stability, particularly for smaller power networks and microgrids, ensuring a more reliable energy supply.
